Edward Jackson
is a university professor, management consultant and author who has
been involved in international development for nearly 35 years. He
teaches in the School of Public Policy and Administration at Carleton
University, where he is cross-appointed to the Norman Paterson School
of International Affairs and the Institute of African Studies. He has
served as Associate Dean in Carleton’s Faculty of Public Affairs, and
co-founded the Carleton-World Bank International Program for
Development Evaluation Training. Dr. Jackson is also President of E.
T. Jackson and Associates Ltd., an award-winning consulting firm that
has advised CIDA, IDRC, the World Bank, governments and NGOs in 50
countries. Edward Jackson’s work has been recognized with the Canadian
Evaluation Society Award for Contribution to Evaluation in Canada and
the Carleton University Faculty of Public Affairs Teaching Excellence
Award. In 2009, he received the Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship.
